An action of by the association entrelacs in the field of contemporary art : >>>interferences moroccan references in contemporary art Curator >Mohamed Rachdi Europe - France in particular - have always given reception to populations coming from everywhere in the world. In the course of time, those populations have managed to adapt to their new surroundings Surveys underline that the process of adaptation, oriented by different strategies, is the sign of an everpresent concern about identity adjustments, about articulating a multiplicity of references and about interactions of different values and cultures. That is where a mnesic dynamic is permanently displayed, with the whole complexity of the intrication of both individual and collective memory. As generations go by, migratory fluxes have finally given birth to a new citizen who, fully conscious of his rights and duties, gets involved in the life of his city. As a consequence, this citizen paticipates more and more actively in the construction and development of the place where he lives. However, in a European world where ethnic and cultural exchanges are constantly increasing, social bonds seem to be dissolving. Then how can we ensure that all the citizens live together in harmony and with all due respect for everyone's differences ? entrelacs is convinced that only a serious research for means to facilitate communication and exchanges between citizens - wherever they come from - is really able to create the social bonds which can bring about security, well-being and fecondity. |
